Hello!
During a migration from SAP Real Estate Classic to SAP Real Estate Flex, i have gotten the job to make sure the fields of different word documents will be pointing to the correct fields!
I have located the documents in the Business Document Navigator (BDN) through the transaction code "fotioi", which is the same as was used in RE Classic.
Here i can find the different document templates, with the mergefields.
What i need to change is the "Z-fields" from classic, which is now standard in the RE-flex.
Example:
The Z-field data type "ZZSTRAS" is now standard in RE-flex as a data type "STRAS".
Here is my question(s):
1.
Where do i need to change something, as to where the "pointer" from template needs to point?
Basically, when i need to get the information from SAP into the Word template, where do i need to change the pointer, so i point at the new Table/Field?
I am not asking what table, but rather what place i need to change the pointer, so i can point it at another table/field?
2.
Will the change of this "pointer" automatically change the mergefields in the template in BDN?
Or do i need to go all the templates through, and change the mergefield manually?
Is there a shortcut here?
In RE Classic, a transaction FOV3 was used to open the templates (FOV3 (Alternativ to RECN) >> Input (same as RECN) >> Attachment List >> Choose relevant Template).
Through Mergefields we then got the Master data merged into the Word document, and could then save the document from there.
It is essential for this project, that the template is a MS Word template, and editable (Customers Request).
Hope someone can help me out a bit, this is the first i've worked with the BDN and template data merger.
Svend
